Future's Plaxin / Plaxin's Future

At this stage of an ongoing product development, we can reveal that the inorganic-organic hybrid polymers which constitute the makeup of Plaxin are 100% biodegradable. By using nanotechnology and mixing organic and inorganic nanomaterials and introducing nanoforms which have never before been applied industrially, we are able to shape a unique material, perfectly suited as packaging for foodstuffs and other materials.

When we set out to make plastic redundant our main criteria were that the solution could not lead to another problem further down the line. Therefore, we are ecstatic about the fact that between 60% and 80% of the organic material in our standard line of Plaxin-products are composed of biowaste from Danish slaughterhouses. However, being a company of vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians it was important for us to also be able to offer an animal free line of Plaxin. After a couple of years of trial and error the key to this process was found in the lakes of Abisko in North Sweden´s Lappland. Here we discovered a nanomaterial which may turn the tide on plastics faster than you can say "Greta Thunberg".

As long as our societies produce biowaste from animals, we see it as our duty to use this by-product, which would otherwise rot to no avail for the planet. But as the world moves away from using animals as a food source Plaxin become 100% plant based.
